Bar Esquina Restaurant – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Andy and I spent about five days in Cabo recently. It was such a great vacation. Cabo has such a relaxed atmosphere and with the heat in full force, life seemed to slow down even more. In terms of food, I don’t think we had many expectations – good or bad. But, we were pleasantly surprised by the array of delicious seafood and the Mexican flare in nearly every dish we enjoyed.
We ventured over to Bar Esquina Restaurant in the Bahia Hotel on a recommendation. Bar Esquina describes itself as:
Cabo’s newest first-class restaurant, Bar Esquina, features a unique twist on International creative cuisine: Mexican influenced Mediterranean flavors using locally grown, organic produce; fresh fish from the Pacific & Sea of Cortez; and the highest quality meats cooked on a mesquite grill. Bar Esquina is quickly becoming one of the finest Restaurants in Cabo.
Dine at our 17 seat marble bar, fireside on our 70 seat deck, or at the Chef’s Table overlooking the beautiful open kitchen. Bar Esquina also offers organic Mexican coffee direct from Chiapas and Oaxaca, brewed fresh daily from 7am.
Bar Esquina is everything it promises to be. From a relaxing atmosphere with attentive service to amazingly creative and fresh cuisine, Bar Esquina is definitely a gem in the Medano Beach district.
I don’t have a photo, but we started out with an appetizer: Tuna tartar, ginger, chili & avocado. The presentation was creative and appetizing.
Andy had the: Lobster Bisque Spaghetti
I had the spicy chipotle shrimps with coconut-lime risotto.
For dessert, we had the raspberry sorbet and a “Cabo Lime” pie with crumbled lime and blackberry meringue (so good – I love meringue!).
If you are in Cabo, this restaurant is a “must eat”. Ask for a mango-infused vodka martini! Check out more menu items here.
